External validation is like seeking a thumbs-up from others to feel good about ourselves. And honestly, who doesn’t love praise, recognition, and compliments? But here’s the thing: relying too heavily on what others think can actually harm our self-esteem. It’s like needing constant approval to feel worthy. When we seek validation from outside, we may feel pressured to constantly prove ourselves. We might change who we are or what we do just to impress others. But that’s exhausting and unpredictable! By embracing our uniqueness, we can start to break free and find our self-worth from within. No more constant seeking! No more feeling like we’re not enough! We become more confident, authentic, and happy with who we are.
